Shahrzad re-joined Child & Child in January 2021 after 15 months
as a Managing Director with Alvarium Investments.
Shahrzad originally joined Child & Child in 2015, when she founded
and headed the Middle East desk. She was legal counsel to many HNW
and UHNW families/entrepreneurs as well as multi-jurisdictional
companies and several governments. She focused on banking finance
and regulations, cross border transactions, corporate/commercial,
property finance (including sharia finance), financial sanctions on
Iran, structuring, private wealth, immigration, dispute resolution
and international transactions.
She was also head of the legal team within a Kuwaiti family office,
worked for a city firm in London and prior to that spent six years
with Atai & Associates working on international corporate law, oil
and gas, telecommunications matters for UHNW business owners.
Shahrzad has won various international awards and has lived and
worked in many different cities including London, Paris, Dubai and
Tehran. She speaks multiple languages including English, French,
Italian, Turkish, Persian, Azerbaijani and basic Arabic.
Besides being a lawyer, she is also a lecturer for Master of
International Economics at University of Orleans and University of
Tours (France).
Shahrzad is a UK qualified solicitor. She holds a Masters of Law
(LLM) from the College of Law London, studied Law (LLB),at
University of Hertfordshire and Applied Maths at Azad University of
Tehran.
